Thom Browne has unveiled its latest spring/summer collection via this showcase of looks for 2014. The New York-based designer’s signature cropped cuts and squared shoulders continue to play a central role in his aesthetic, although this season sees a host of embellishments, motifs and prints that add a unique touch of modern sophistication. Key pieces in this lineup draw inspiration from the naval forces via jackets, pants, shirts, jumpers and more, which receive Browne’s imaginative treatment, seemingly conjured up from his avant-garde approach to design. Based off a reserved palette of black, grey, navy and white, unique embellishments such as an embroidered anchor finds its way onto several standout garbs. Noteworthy pieces include a flared jacket, a subtle checkered grey suit, combo and an interesting grey jacket with an all-over camo-esque motif.
