Having experienced a bit of a renaissance over the previous year, the Torsion Allegra – originally introduced for the Barcelona Olympics in 1992 – is the latest silhouette to be tapped by the UK’s size? for its ongoing “Select” collaboration with adidas Originals. Dubbed the “Alpine Ridge,” the new release sees the early ’90s runner with bold hues of cobalt blue, ice grey and slime green – as well as motifs inspired by the era’s 3D graphics, geographical contour maps and outdoor sportswear – across uppers of leather, nylon and mesh. Beloved for its neoprene sock-like bootie and rigid Torsion X support unit, the latest Torsion Allegras are due out Tuesday, December 17 via size?’s online store for £85 GBP (approximately $138 USD) each.
