Continuing on the string of releases beginning from last week, contemporary street-fashion brand En Noir presents a new line of T-shirts for the forthcoming season. The brand experiments with printing and handicraft this time around, using “photorealism embroidery” to execute a range of quality garb. The technique combines a layer of hand-embroidery atop high-resolution digital prints to build texture into the shirts, resulting in a unique 3D effect. While photorealism embroidery has been around for some time, it was also used in small quantity due to a high production cost. Alas, here we find En Noir reviving the technique for an exclusive release at none other than Barneys New York. Enjoy a closer look at the shirts above, then pick yours up in-store or online.
