Nicola Formichetti recently assumed the reins of Italian lifestyle label Diesel as their first-ever artistic director. His efforts have been largely to provide a reboot to the 35-year-old label via his groundbreaking vision. While his true injection of creativity won’t come until his first full-scale collection in Fall/Winter 2014, his initial efforts are seen through the launch of the #DIESELTRIBUTE capsule that revisits some of Diesel’s most iconic and classic designs. In true Formichetti fashion, the entire creative behind #DIESELTRIBUTE was shot on an iPhone together with various apps to help create an entirely digital campaign that continues to push the boundaries of communication in fashion. Different platforms such as Tumblr and Instagram each enjoy their own materials that play to their respective advantages while Formichetti utilizes another eclectic series of models found through his worldly travels.
