Continuing our coverage of contemporary artist KAWS, we’ve got a closer look at the “At This Time” and “Along The Way” installations at Marry Boone Gallery, New York. Here, the artist’s signature Companion sculptures are crafted from Afromosia wood and stand a staggering 18 feet tall. “At This Time” shows a pair of the artist’s figures with one arm on the other’s back, embracing each other in consolation, while “Along The Way” shows a figure standing alone with its head arched back and hands covering the eyes. Elsewhere, the Brooklyn-based artist’s “Pass The Blame” exhibition is also showing at New York’s Galerie Perrotin — featuring three new paintings that are a mix of illustrations and whimsical graphics. Both exhibitions will be showing till December 21.
