Nikon has unveiled its latest entry-level DX-format digital SLR camera: the D5300. Nikon’s first digital SLR to boast both built-in Wi-Fi and GPS functions, the D5300 offers a DX-format CMOS image sensor with an effective pixel count of 24.2 million. Supporting everything from ISO 100 to ISO 12800 – as well as an expansion for an equivalence of up to ISO 25600 – the design also supports smooth 1920 x 1080/60p recording and features a 3.2-inch, approximately 1037k-dot vari-angle monitor. Complete with a bevy of transfer, upload and shooting functions, Nikon’s D5300 is due out later this month in black, red, and grey colorways for about $800 USD each or $1,400 USD with 18-140mm f/3.5-5.6 lens kit.
