The relationship between KENZO and New Era has been revived for the Holiday 2013 season. Following the success of the last release, which considered various animal prints and traditional African textiles, the two brands focused on the eye motif seen throughout their Fall/Winter 2013 line. A range of hats is executed with either all-over eyes or a large, centered eye embroidered across the front. In some cultures – Kenzo cites China, India and Nepal – the all-seeing eye is a symbol of protection, which makes its application on headwear notably apt.
