KAWS Exhibition @ PAFA

Following the appearance of his massive “Passing Through” Companion at the city’s 30th Street Station earlier this year, KAWS is set to return to Pennsylvania for a nearly year-long display at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. Simply dubbed “KAWS @ PAFA,” the exhibition will see more than 60 paintings and sculptures highlighted at PAFA’s Historic Landmark Building while the Academy will kick off its new Sculpture Plinth Exhibition Program by displaying a new KAWS sculpture – previewed by Donnelly himself via Instagram and dubbed BORN TO BEND – on its front facade. “KAWS @ PAFA” is set to open October 12 and run through January 5, 2014 while BORN TO BEND will remain on view through August of next year.
