Building on the release of the “Northern Liites,” Hanon and Onitsuka Tiger have teamed up for yet another collaborative take on the Colorado Eighty-Five: the so-called “Wildcats II.” A sequel of sorts to the “Wildcats” Gel Lyte III Hanon dropped alongside ASICS back in 2011, the burgundy and mustard yellow kicks pay homage to a grassroots running club based in Hanon’s home of Aberdeen – one whose name is also derived from the elusive “tiger” of the Scottish highlands. Sporting a plush calf suede upper with a perforated vamp, the luxurious take on the ’80s trail runner sports a stark white EVA-cushioned sole unit, rugged traction outsole, and plush satin hits to the collar and tongue backer. Additional details include debossed co-branding, silk-screened footbed logos and reflective 3M accents. “With hope in our hearts and fire on our heels,” the “Wildcats II” is due out in-store and online Saturday, November 2 before hitting additional European retailers the following weekend.
