It’s been a while since we’ve seen new work from famed British street artist Banksy, but the renegade illustrator has resurfaced with a new piece in New York City’s Chinatown. After unveiling his plans for a new show – “Better Out Than In” – the stencil extraordinaire has depicted two curious children reaching for a spray paint can. Although the piece is open to interpretation, it seems to refer to art being a youthful endeavor – one that is consistently fueled by a sense of rebellion or independence. Like all Banksy work though, The Street Is In Play does provoke opinions on art and its importance. Be on the lookout for more work from the artist as we anticipate “Better Out Than In” soon.
