Culling from a number of disciplines — calligraphy, graphic design and typography — New York-based artist Aerosyn-Lex Mestrovic‘s work is nothing short of inventive. Having collaborated with the likes of Kenzo, Kanye West and BEAMS, Mestrovic’s latest venture leaves the pen and paper and explores art via a poetic visual performance. Commissioned by Protein for UK’s Channel 4, “SCRIPTURA VITAE” is a short film inspired by Mestrovic’s dexterous artwork. Furthering his artistic abilities into directorial duties, the short film explores themes of duality and folklore with Mestrovic’s cryptic style prevalent throughout. “SCRIPTURA VITAE” stars famed Japanese actress Milho Nikaido, while soundtrack features original music by Diplo, Actress and Plaitum. Shot in striking black and white, cast you eyes over the trailer above and head to the SCRIPTURA VITAE webpage for more on the film launching October 22 on C4 Random Acts.
