There’s never a dull moment with SBTRKT, whose progressive ‘post-dubstep’ sounds have been making waves for over three years now. After “Wildfire,” which seemed to set the blogosphere ablaze with excitement, the British artist returns to the music scene with visuals for “Trials of the Past,” his newest track. The music video borrows cues from The Matrix, Terminator and other films that foresee a bleak human future — telling the story of a mysterious girl going into the barber for a makeover. With killer motion graphics, sharp twists, and a cliffhanger ending, the video for “Trials of the Past” is a theatrical take on SBTRKT’s melodic work. Though it is visually appealing, we advise that you don’t watch this video at work, or around small children.
