Referred by some as the Native Tongues for the new generation, New York boom bap collective Pro Era certainly had an eventful 2012 marked by stellar releases from frontman Joey Bada$$ (1999) as well as a monumental group effort dubbed PEEP: The aPROcalypse. HYPETRAK TV recently caught up with Pro Era at the Stussy flagship store in New York City on December 21 to celebrate the release of several limited-edition T-shirts that features the P.E. roster on the back and a photograph of a select few members across the front. As a tragic sidenote, this was one of Pro Era’s most prominent member’s final public appearance as 19-year-old MC Capital Steez passed away only a few days later.
