Recently unveiled during Fashion Week in Paris was the 2013 fall/winter collection from Croatian-born designer Damir Doma. Typified by an array of inventively proportioned garments with distinctly boyish silhouettes, Doma’s generally confident avant-garde tailoring approach sees jackets executed with twisted seams, varying long & short cuts with the use of coat tails, and oversized trousers pinned at a high waistline. Track jackets constructed from synthetic materials take clear cues from sportswear, experimenting with relaxed and cropped cuts, while grey and jewel toned fabrics round out a majority of the collection with select prints adding diversity.
