British designer Christopher Shannon recently premiered his upcoming Fall 2013 collection in London. The young creative remained true to his highly-acclaimed sportswear aesthetic, yet found a way to leverage said aesthetic into something unique. As with the art of many young people, the running theme within the line seems to be division – two- and three-tone sweaters and knits appear alongside jackets with customizable sleeves while striped pants populate Shannon’s offering. In combination with bright reds, acid-washed blues and hazelnut, there is a disruptive and rebellious, albeit retroactive tone about these pieces; yet the line comes off completely original. We are also given a look at Christopher Shannon’s ongoing, hiking boot inspired footwear capsule collection with Kickers, as this marks the third season that the two labels have worked together. Look for Christopher Shannon’s exciting new collection at stockists soon.
