In the process of creating their new video for the renowned Centipede Hz track “Applesauce,” Animal Collective took on Gaspar Noé, the director who was the brainchild behind the morbidly abstract thrillers, “Enter the Void” and “Irreversible” to name a few. The premise behind this take appears to be just a simple close-up on a female’s lips while she devours some fruits in front of a screen that strobes in various colors. Not for the light sensitive folks, Centipede Hz is out now on Domino.
