Despite ceasing his own previous eponymous adidas Originals line, Japanese designer Kazuki Kuraishi has nevertheless been busy plying his technical trade on the relatively new 84lab line. A strong focus on Japanese streetwear meets technical sport has been the ethos for the diffusion label and something that has become an ingrained element of much of the work created by Kuraishi. For fall/winter, Kuraishi’s own vision is complemented by that of New York designer Mark McNairy for a unique and ultimately progressive aesthetic. While many of the pieces are staples in their own right, highly considered fabrics and details are the bread and butter of many of the pieces with outerwear an especially strong representation of the line.
