The Builders' Jam Brings Together Skaters to Build Their Own Skatepark

The Locals Only series of documentaries initiated by Levi’s Streetwear culminated in a fifth stop and sponsored builder’s jam in Hannover as British and German DIY skate crews were given the opportunity to take their skating environment into their own hands – literally. In an empty industrial lot in Hannover, Germany, the crews got together to build their own grind boxes and quarter pipes, marking the first annual Builders’ Jam event. Without any concrete plans – only a plan to shred concrete – the skaters built non-stop for a week straight. The result was a creatively unique environment that allowed these skaters to assert their passion as well as demonstrate the possibility for dedicated individuals to come together and make an impact on their environment, even at a grassroots level.
