Richard Chai Love 2013 Spring/Summer Collection

The Richard Chai Love Spring/Summer 2013 collection for men reflected a gym to the street transition. Full of athletic references, playful proportions and textural variety, the designer presented a spectrum of shimmery, near-transparent, and monochromatic looks broken up by a judicious use of color blocking and darker neutrals. The athletic influence was displayed by way of jackets, zip-neck shirts, track pants and shorts — the loose-fitting cuts and sky tones communicating a seasonal sense of ease and confidence. Not content with being one-dimensional, Chai also rounded out his sporty collection with a double-breasted, color-blocked suit and reinterpreted denim trench coat.
