Mark McNairy 2013 Spring/Summer Backstage Visuals

Mark McNairy‘s 2013 spring/summer runway show was a wholehearted exploration of “fun, not funny.” The rock-inspired circus was an irreverant, perhaps even sacrilegious assault on the house of trad — Danny Brown in a gold lamé suit, globe and daisy prints, magnified Benjamins and gingham mashups, among other affronts. Dazed Digital editor David Hellqvist, having premiered the Spring/Summer 2013 lookbook on the website earlier, recently offered up a backstage glimpse into the sartorial theater that was McNasty’s New Amsterdam runway show. Included among the shots are a few of new McNasty poster boy Danny Brown, models prepping, and the designer himself, controlling chaos behind the scenes.
