Kanye West Explains ‘Cruel Summer’

As of late, many opinions have been formed surrounding the release of G.O.O.D. Music‘s anticipated Cruel Summer album. There have been a number of positive reviews mixed in with ‘it could have been better,’ but what about an assessment of the album from Kanye West himself? Unseen for several G.O.O.D. Music promotional stops, Ye finally puts himself in front of the camera to reflect on the album and what it meant to the G.O.O.D family and himself. Informing us of the standards that were set in finishing the complete project, Kanye reminds us that the album is all about empowerment and that it was the coming together of 30-plus-like minds. The Don even goes on to create his own word in describing the momentous experience. Call it what you will, but there’s no denying the collective’s effective formula in making music for the people.
