One of the perpetual concerns of architecture has always been the co-existence of civilization and nature. Created by UNSANGDONG Architects in Kyeong Gi, South Korea, the Energy Plus Green Home was designed and built as a sustainable residence that is not only energy-efficient, but also manages to produce its own solar power. Aesthetically, the architects worked hard to reflect the house’s environmental concerns — planted exterior walls and roofs, geometric yet organic lines, and a soothing, white-based color scheme. Meanwhile, a pleasing mix of blanched walls, recycled blond timber, and pea green make for a harmonious interior living space also meant to stimulate occupants’ “design emotions.”
