RUN / HIDE 2012 Fall/Winter Lookbook

RUN / HIDE begins its life as a menswear label with the release of micro-print floral shirting for Fall/Winter 2012. The whole project was financed by proceeds from the founder’s original run of bracelets late last year and offers a story of growth and execution. Born of need — as the best products inevitably are — they were created by Amardeep Singh, perhaps better known as Tumblr personality Brry Bnds. The need in this case was for a floral print button-down, an item that he previously felt resided in the category of “things that should exist that do not yet exist,” as is cryptically stated on the brand’s website. The result? Shirts crafted in a four-season Japanese cotton broadcloth and wholly manufactured in the USA — a beautiful set of basics that are not basics, to be equally enigmatic, and are appropriate either as a winter wardrobe pick-me-up or an outfit’s centerpiece in warmer months. The shirts are available in both white/deep red and black/pink and were produced in extremely limited quantities. Shot by the equally internet-famous Liam Goslett, the inaugural lookbook features model Tarik James in an appropriately natural setting. Get yours now at the RUN / HIDE online store for $130 USD.
