Fresh off the first look at rag & bone’s upcoming Spring/Summer 2013 collection, the New York-based brand presents a video look at the yet-to-be-released pieces. Appearing on a group of local skateboarders across the streets of Manhattan in the likes of the East Village, the Lower East Side, Meatpacking District, and Dumbo, Brooklyn, the new designs from Marcus Wainwright and David Neville showcase their love of military wear with an obvious motocross-inspired aesthetic also appearing throughout. As Wainwright explained, “For men’s SS2013 we wanted to do something distinctly downtown and it made sense to us to use real people instead of models. We thought it would be cool to use a group of people who are friends,so we asked a gang of skateboarders we know to take part. It also gave us the opportunity to shoot the clothes in action as opposed to just studio shots.” Look for the 2013 spring/summer collection from rag & bone to be available in stores and online early next year.
