New York’s Rag & Bone recently showed off its menswear collection for Spring/Summer 2013 at a skatepark not far from its Meatpacking District headquarters. Styled by Jay Massacret and utilizing local skaters to model the designs, the latest pieces from designers David Neville and Marcus Wainwright display a decidedly military and sport-inspired aesthetic with color-blocked nylon pants and wide-cut shorts appearing alongside matching parkas and the use of digitized map prints to further the influence. Motocross-inspired leather jackets are also prevalent while simply styled tees and expertly tailored suits, trousers and more help to balance the otherwise rugged vibe. With a Los Angeles storefront in the works and another recently opening its doors in London, Rag & Bone’s new designs will be widely available come 2013.
