Mickey and Co. Swap Their Usual Threads for High Fashion

This Christmas, new magic will be underway at Barneys New York. Come November 14, Barneys’ Madison Avenue flagship store will unveil a Disney-themed “Electric Holiday,” with this year’s campaign involving a three-dimensional electric light show, a short animated film playing in its window displays that will turn your favorite Disney characters into runway supermodels, and an original soundtrack furnished by Oscar-winner Michael Giacchino. In this glamorous spin-off of the famed Disney Electric Parade, Mickey will be dressed by Nicolas Ghesquière for Balenciaga, Minnie by Alber Elbaz for Lanvin, Goofy by Olivier Rousteing for Balmain, Daisy by Dolce & Gabbana, Cruella by Rick Owens, Princess Tiana by Proenza Schouler, and Snow White by Peter Copping for Nina Ricci.
