As American Idol looks to add invigoration and pizazz to a singing program that has lost a little steam over the years, TMZ is reporting that Kanye West is in negotiations to join Mariah Carey and another yet-to-be-named judge for the 12th season of the program. Supposed rumors point to West, Carey and possibly Nicki Minaj, Keith Urban, Brad Paisley or Enrique Iglesias rounding out the panel. As for details, West would supposedly take in a healthy $18 million USD if he signed on the dotted line. According to sources, “He’s on the fence because he’s not sure if ‘A.I.’ is in his wheelhouse.” What do you think? Would Kanye West make you want to watch American Idol more/less? Do you think it would affect his image as an artist? Sound off in the comment section below.
