“YOLO” has been one of the internet catchphrases of note for 2012. For Thai designer Sup Suphanut Suwansanya and his menswear label 10/10, this means drawing on the notion of “fearlessness in youth through clothing.” His “Young Only Once!”-themed collection showcases an array of contemporary clothing inspired by a broad spectrum of influences including geometry and Gundam, the result being a bold blend of tailored clothing, streetwear, and the avant-garde. Among the neutrally-shaded offerings are architectural jackets, shirts, knitwear and pants, all precisely cut, color-blocked and often coupled with the placement of unique details meant to mirror the diversity of human character. The collection’s time-defying lookbook follows the garments closely — clothes inspired by the past, styled for the future, and meant to be worn today. For any wardrobe that requires a dose of carpe diem and those wishing to channel their childhood anime obsessive, the 10/10 Fall/Winter 2012 collection should be available soon at selected stockists.
