Richard Mille RM 022 Carbon Tourbillon Aerodyne Dual Time

A completely unprecedented level of engineering detail and unconventional manufacturing processes go into every timepiece from French watchmaker Richard Mille. Its latest RM 022 Carbon Tourbillon is of no exception. Beneath the honeycomb dial, this impressive offering features a hand wind tourbillon with dual time functionality, powered by Mille’s superlative RM 022 in-house movement. And because Richard Mille could never be content to settle for a pedestrian steel or titanium case, the watchmaker opted for a black polymer injection-molded with carbon fiber nanotubes, delivering an exceptionally lightweight case 200 times stronger than steel. Given the extremely complicated manufacturing process, only five of these exotic watches will be made — and they most certainly won’t come cheap.
