Moe Takemura's Guide to Japanese Cooking Overseas

Moe Takemura, a recent graduate of Lund University in Sweden and native of Japan, recently set out to create a cookbook for those who want to craft traditional Japanese dishes without the advantage of local Japanese ingredients. Using her Masters Degree in industrial design, Takemura created a cookbook that’s as straightforward as it is beautiful. The book is quite informative regarding Japanese culture, but also has the intention of exploring what drives different people’s taste in foods, begging the question, “Why do we eat what we eat?” Additionally, the book discusses sustainability as a part of a healthy lifestyle, and is currently available from online book stores such as Blurb for approximately $49 USD.
