Acne 2013 Spring/​Summer Collection

Shying from common vivid summer tones for this season, Acne’s recent presentation included a subdued palate dominated by grey, black and beige. As a staple of Acne’s ready-to-wear, liberal amounts of denim can be seen as well as predominantly relaxed fitting bottoms, an assortment of hats, and a noteworthy selection of jackets. On a point of discussion, this collection purposefully endeavors to steer away from what is considered by many to be a fashion truism – be wary of mixing vertical and horizontal stripes. As a younger and less established brand in respect to other highly esteemed European fashion houses presenting in Paris, the Swedish brand has undoubtedly found a foothold with its professed ‘Ambition to Create Novel Expression.’
