For the upcoming 2012 Summer Olympic Games the services of Shepard Fairey alongside Ron English, RISK and TrustoCorp have been commissioned by the London Pleasure Gardens as part of a cultural exposition beginning beginning June 30. In response, the BBC published a story questioning the intentions of the artwork presented by these iconic street and pop artists, thereby pushing the topic further. Channeling WWII-era propaganda, Fairey went on to adorn the side of a decaying building with work while also taking a moment to discuss the legitimacy of his creative campaign.
