In terms of timing, Pointer Footwear‘s founding in 2004 arrived at a juncture when the footwear market was in need of a fresh and innovative casual footwear player. Building on simple, timeless and iconic silhouettes, it has been Pointer Footwear’s dedication to well-made shoes and ability to infuse creative textiles and patterns that have aided in its longevity and broad-sweeping acceptance since its inception. The brand’s London office is home to the creative studio and showroom of its founder/creative director, Gareth Skewis. A family affair of sorts, the office was designed primarily at the discretion of Skewis’ wife who is also a seasoned interior designer as well as with the help of a longtime friend. Bringing a level of liberation and freedom to the space, Skewis’ desire was to see the Pointer Footwear London headquarters become an all-inclusive arena that enveloped every step within the product development process. Fully aware of the creative minds among his team and the need to perpetuate an air of inventiveness, Skewis’ completed office strikes a creative balance that is only further affirmed in the end product that is each pair of Pointer Footwear shoes.
