Google shows no signs of slowing down in terms of releases today as it also unveils the Nexus Q alongside the Nexus 7 tablet. In some ways functioning with the same ideas as an Apple TV, the Nexus Q operates as a bridge between Android devices and its user’s television or entertainment system. Made for Google Play and YouTube, the Nexus Q allows you to stream music or movies from the cloud directly to your entertainment system. Additionally, it is built with a 25W amp that gives you the ability to power a set of speakers or hook it up to an AV receiver or HDTV. The orb-like streaming media device runs a version of Android 4.0 and is slated to hit the market with a retail price point of $300 USD.
