One of the most covetable footwear collections to land, the Converse First String collection is the iconic footwear brand’s upper tier line that is decidedly particular with who and what it associates its name. And rightfully so, as the past collaborations and First String releases have been consistently classic in their execution and relevant in their approach. The latest sees UK’s Footpatrol joining Converse First String to mint a special range of Pro Leather iterations for Spring 2012. While the retailer temporarily went on hiatus, Footpatrol upholds a reputation as one of the foremost sources for the most exclusive and sought-after sneakers and footwear styles. Aligning with Converse, Footpatrol taps the nostalgic Pro Leather to curate both a high and low-top special edition pack.
Mocked up in a premium nubuck leather, the monochromatic and tonal upper is embellished across the heel with a custom woven jacquard material that also sees placement along the tongue. An Aztec motif traces its way to the tongue and heel of the low-top spearmint green colorway. Everything is rounded out with an understated and debossed Footpatrol gas mask hit along the exterior rear panel. Availability will begin on June 29 exclusively at Footpatrol London. Retail is set at £80 GBP (approximately $125 USD) for the mid-tops and £75 GBP (approximately $117 USD) for the low-top version.
