Dapper Lou is the creation of Lougè Delcy, born from the inspirations that he experienced through his hometown of Brooklyn, New York. Building on his inherent creativity, Delcy has spent various stints in and around the fashion world for the majority of his life through phases as a fashion stylist, event writer, and menswear street photographer. Fond of print patterns, his style icon is none other than Jean-Michel Basquiat — a source of inspiration from which Delcy himself derives many of his personal style and lifestyle facets. For his part in the ongoing GAP Styld.by initiative, Dapper Lou showcases an effortless affinity for a denim-based summertime outfit. The slightly distressed denim is positioned as the timeless foundation to a textured blazer, a panama hat and crocodile print loafers. Bringing an element of what he describes as “modern meets retro,” Delcy pairs an unassuming salmon-colored T-shirt to complete a casual yet sophisticated aesthetic.
