COMME des GARCONS JUNYA WATANABE MAN x Tricker’s 2012 Fall/Winter Wingtip Sneaker

Out of the many collaborative projects that COMME des GARCONS‘ lead designer Junya Watanabe takes on, his ongoing work with respected British footwear manufacturer Tricker’s is arguably one of the most anticipated. For the 2012 fall/winter collection, several new creations are slated for release, including this take on the popular wingtip model. Taking a Tricker’s 4-hole wingtip suede upper, Watanabe has chosen to replace the more traditional welted sole with a white rubber sneaker-styled version, and in doing so brings a modern feel to a classic design. Set to be available in the upcoming months, the COMME des GARCONS JUNYA WATANABE MAN x Tricker’s wingtip sneaker will retail in Japan for ¥53,550 JPY (approximately $670 USD).
