Ahead of tomorrow’s start to Euro 2012, NOWNESS linked up with 26-year-old Arsenal defender and Belgian international Thomas Vermaelen for a stylish short film. Shot in London by Sharif Hamza with long lenses and handheld cameras, the video gives a unique player’s-eye perspective of Vermaelen’s abilities while showing off the latest Fall/Winter 2012 pieces from Belgian designers, including the likes of Ann Demeulemeester, Kris Van Assche, Dries Van Noten, Tim Coppens, Raf Simons and Maison Martin Margiela. The Belgian contingency are hoping that Vermaelen’s arsenal of step-overs and Zidane’s signature turns are reserved for the attacking third.
