Paul Thomas Anderson’s “The Master” Trailer

From acclaimed There Will Be Blood director Paul Thomas Anderson comes a trailer for his newest project, titled “The Master.” The film will star acting powerhouses Philip Seymour Hoffman and Amy Adams, and features a return to the silver screen for Joaquin Phoenix. Additionally, like There Will Be Blood, the score will be composed by Radiohead’s own Johnny Greenwood, whose work on aforementioned film helped illuminate its dark and agitated tone. Early information on the film suggests it to be a 1950s drama set around a cult-like group that bears resemblance to Scientology, with a tour-de-force performance from Phoenix in the trailer. The Master is set to be released on October 12, 2012.
