Maybach Music Group signs Omarion

Maybach Music Group held a press conference earlier today with a few announcements. First off it looks like there is much more music to come from the label. Accordingly, we can expect MMG Self Made Vol. 2 on June 26, French Montana’s Excuse My French on July 17, Rick Ross’s God Forgives I Don’t on July 31, Meek Mill’s Dreams & Nightmares on August 28, and an upcoming still untitled album from Wale due January 2013. More surprisingly however, the label signed former B2K member and Young Money signee Omarion, who has also been blessed with a new name Omarion O. After the press conference the R&B artist revealed his motivation behind this move to Ross’s camp on 106 & Park.

“I think the relationship, bonding with somebody comes first. I’ve been doing this for a long time and God has blessed me. More than anything, I really respect and I really like the way he moves like a boss. It takes one to know one.”

Omarion plans to release an EP and has already shot a video for his first single “Let’s Talk” featuring Rick Ross.
