Since its foundation in 1994, Maharishi has evolved into one of the UK’s most influential designer labels. Containing similar design sensibilities and aspirations as Casio, it seemed only fitting that the two brands have come together to collaborate on a Spring/Summer 2012 G-Shock GA-110. Head designer Hardy Blechman explains, “G-Shock is the toughest of watches and prides itself on being tough, durable and long-lasting, similar to the Maharishi brand, which has gained respect for not conforming to fashion mainstreams, producing long-lasting designs and being sustainable.” The bamdazzle pattern stems from paint schemes employed by Naval ships during World War I whose geometric shapes were designed to confuse German torpedo operators as to the direction the ship was traveling. Other key amenities include 200M water resistance, auto LED light with afterglow, 48 city world time, 1/1000th stopwatch with speed indicator, and four daily alarms. The GA-110 will be available starting June 14 at the Maharishi store in London.
