Of course, 40 years ago, it was known as the “M Division,” which was created to manage BMW’s burgeoning racing operations. To celebrate this anniversary of BMW Motorsports, BMW has released a series of beautiful photographs that follow the vehicles from the M line from its inception, to where it is today.
