The “Cloud.” Ask someone five years ago what “the cloud” was and they would simply point to the sky. Ask someone circa 2012, and the moniker has seen a widespread rebranding of sorts in terms of “Cloud Sharing.” Be it the recent rollout from Silicon Valley of Google Drive, Amazon’s Cloud Drive, the longstanding design guru favorite, Dropbox, Apple’s iCloud or the multitude of other services; cloud sharing has drastically changed the interconnectivity of file sharing. The main catalysts to the success of Cloud computing trace back to the core desire for efficiency, peace of mind and convenience; as the ability to simply put things “in the cloud” and access them anywhere is quickly becoming an industry standard doing away with the olden days of worrying about failed harddrives, lost CDs or even corrupt flash drives. How big a role, if any, do cloud services play in your life – Do You Use “Cloud” Services?
