dailyDuJour Takes a Visit to Buff Monster’s Studio

dailyDuJour recently dropped by Buff Monster’s studio for a look at his new collection of paintings for his upcoming “Legend of the Pink Cherry” solo show at the Corey Helford Gallery in Culver City, opening April 14. Telling a good vs. bad narrative that pits a new, pink ice cream cone-inspired character versus a one-eyed winged demon we’ve seen from Buff Monster in the past, it’s clear the artist is still having a good time creating his work. In addition to his narrative-based offerings that include painting and pencil drawings, he will also offer 30 smaller 5” x 7” paintings created as his homage to the Garbage Pail Kids series of collectible sticker cards. The Melty Misfits, his very own sticker card series, will be released to coincide with the show’s opening.
