Bondi Penthouse by MPR Design Group

Sydney, Australia earns a penthouse worthy of its elegance, designed by MPR Design Group. MPR’s aim was to achieve an aesthetic that conveyed a sense of pristine and generous design – further compounded by the beach in which it overlooks. Metal-clad yet light, Bondi Penthouse is established on the roof of a pre-existing Art Deco building. The streamlined flow of the architectural design effectively mimics the analogous waterfront surf that resides at the shore below. Low-level glass louvres and sections of glass gazing areas carved within the ceiling provide a degree of al fresco viewing to roofspace that can be otherwise restrictive in more traditional designs. An external horizontal blade serves as the form for a day bed that complements the relaxing environment created by the Bondi Penthouse.
