“Under-design is my favorite thing — good design is important, but not over-design,” says David Keyte, of Universal Works. At the recent Jacket Required show, HBTV had a chance to catch up with the designer, owner, and founder of the British workwear-inspired label. Discussing about the label’s influences and the future of what the brand has in store for Fall/Winter 2012, Keyte previews the line that boasts clean tailoring and naturally rugged fabrics with timeless styles that Keyte thinks men “just want to wear.”
