The Avant/Garde Diaries: Jeffrey Deitch & Theaster Gates

For more than four decades now, Jeffrey Deitch has been a major player in the U.S. art scene, where he now holds the title of Director at the MOCA in Los Angeles. During Art Basel, The Avant/Garde Diaries had an opportunity to talk to Deitch about an array of topics which included the burgeoning art movement in the ’70s, to what he finds most interesting about the various mediums today. Truly a visionary, Deitch is responsible for showcasing many of the most creative people in the world today.
