Nissan DeltaWing Will Run at the 2012 Le Mans

What Nissan is calling “the most ground-breaking” development in contemporary motorsports, the newly developed DeltaWing is primed to make its debut at this year’s Le Mans endurance race. Bearing a clearly distinct profile, this new model from the Japanese automaker emphasizes efficiency while bringing a completely fresh and distinct silhouette. A lower drag and lower weight cuts down fuel consumption while keeping aerodynamics a priority. Taking into consideration the raw necessities of a sports car and departing from a traditional sense of design, Nissan intends on building from this testbed in the future.
