Nardwuar vs. Grimes

Nardwuar kept himself exceptionally busy over the course of SXSW 2012, landing interviews with some of the event’s biggest acts. After having the tables turned on him with a few Hypebeast questions, this time, Claire Boucher — better known as Grimes – is on the receiving end of Nardwuar’s rapid-fire questioning and impressively thoughtful gifts, but not just because it’s her birthday. The singer-songwriter and visual artist reminisces about her SXSW 2011 show with Nardwuar, reveals her mother’s stalking habits on Twitter, and shares the first time she’s ever fired a rifle. And quite possibly a first for his videos, Nardwuar isn’t the only one whose voice cracks during the interview.
