This past weekend emerging American designer label, Timo Weiland, showcased its 2012 fall/winter collection at NYFW. Drawing on the idiosyncrasies from two parallel music eras – the exoticism of post-punk New York and the rebellious grunge scene – the New York-based brand presented a collection of ideal foundation building wardrobe pieces with radical prints and quality fabrics. This runway to the streets seasonal line continued its sleek look with subtle tweaks to longstanding classics, including tuxedo pants with a stripe along the inside of the pant leg, and a motorcycle jacket with a wool torso and leather sleeves. Timo Weiland’s 2012 fall/winter collection offers both a strong assortment of premium layering garments as well as quirky statement making centerpieces.
